Frances Morgan Sams (Mickey), age 79

Frances Morgan Sams (Mickey), age 79 of Forest City, wife of 64 years to Roy Lee Sams who is a resident White Oak Manor Nursing Home, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Mickey was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Nannie Sue Morgan and Charles Thomas Morgan, Sr. She was also preceded in death by three sisters DeVue Hamrick, Joyce Canipe and Peggy Carpenter.

She was a member of Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church and a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.

Survivors include one son, Boyce (Duffie) Sams and wife, Teresa, of Forest City, one daughter Amelia DeVue Sams also of Forest City, two grandsons, two granddaughters, eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Also, one sister Josephine Hardin, one brother Gene Morgan and a number of other close family members. Funeral Services were held at Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church with the Reverend Pat Jobe officiating, followed by a graveside service in the church cemetery.
