Frances "Tex" Johnson Toney, 93

Frances "Tex" Johnson Toney, 93, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, February 24, 2023.

Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late McClure Johnson and Georgia Laughter Johnson, and widow of the late Crayton Toney.

Tex worked for Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation for many years and was a member of Florence Baptist Church, Forest City.

Survivors include her son, C. Greg Toney and wife Mary; daughter, Rosemari Holland; sister, Betty Lowrance; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services were held February 27 in the Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Dr. Bobby Gantt and Rev. Tonya Garrison officiating.
