Frank "Eddie" Greene, age 66, of Forest City, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 21, 2023.
He was the son of the late Frank and Dovie Ledford Greene.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melanie McBrayer Greene; daughters, Meleah G. Hilton (Jonathan) of Shelby and Chloe G. Dixon (Nathan) of Seneca, SC; one granddaughter, sisters, Annette Landis (Freddy) and Janice Vickers (Joey) all of Forest City; brothers-in-law, Don McBrayer (Sandy) of Mooresboro and Bobby Campbell of Ellenboro and several nieces and nephews.
He was an Army veteran having served in Germany. Eddie worked in textiles, plastic molding and roller bearing mfg. at AFA, Timken/Gaffney and Watts Regulator. He was a member of Element Church.
The funeral service was held July 27 at noon in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with Rev. J.R. Blanton officiating. Military Honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
