Freida Collins Edwards Chapa

Freida Collins Edwards Chapa passed away February 15, 2022.

Freida was the daughter of the late Thomas Grady Collins and Ruby Collins. Freida was born in Rutherford County, December 1, 1938, and was a graduate of Cool Springs High School.

Freida had 2 sisters, Joann Guffey and the late Jeneanne Guffey. She also had 2 brothers - the late TG Collins and Jerry Collins. Freida retired from the accounting department at Duke Power Charlotte.

Freida is survived by her husband Mike Chapa of the home, daughters Nena Wilson (Robert), Kimberly Burcham (Mike), Patty Hammett (Reid), Maria Davis, and son Greg Chapa and several sisters and brothers-in-law.

Freida was a member of Florence Baptist Church.

The funeral was held February 19, 2022, in the Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Mike Elgin and Rev. Tonya Garrison officiating.
