Garland "Abe" Adair, age 74

Garland "Abe" Adair, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Garland was born September 1, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Albert Lee Adair and Geneva Lawson Adair. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked as an auto detailer and was a member of Chase Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jamie Adair and brother Randy Adair.

Survivors include his son Kelly Adair (Beth) of Forest City; brothers Gene Adair (Maxine) of Ellenboro and Bobby Adair (Tammy) of Forest City; sisters Shirly Campbell (Earl), Kathy Henderson of Forest City and Norma McInturf (Ray) of Forest City, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held January 3 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Ruppe and Rev. Roy Hall officiating. Military Honors were presented by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
