Gary Stephen "Whitey" Wright, age 79 of Forest City

Gary Stephen "Whitey" Wright, age 79 of Forest City died Monday, October 27, 2025.

Whitey, as he was known to his family and friends was born March 18, 1946, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Holtz and Blanche Matheny Wright Allen.

Whitey worked for many years in Real Estate, and he had operated his own Real Estate Agency. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and attended Appalachian State University. Whitey also served honorably in the United States Army.

Survivors include his brothers, Wilbur Wright (Lundy) of Ellenboro and Gregg Wright (David) of Dallas, TX as well as many friends and extended family.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date and will be announced.
