Gayle Jenkins, age 74

Gayle Jenkins, age 74, of Knoxville, TN formerly of Spindale, NC, passed away July 23, 2021.

Gayle was born June 17, 1947 in Rutherford County to the late Harold Lawson Kennedy and Rosa Beachboard Kennedy. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1965 and earned an Associate Degree from Isothermal Community College. Gayle worked as a beautician most of her life and was also employed by Sally's Beauty Supply. She attended Father's Vineyard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Kennedy Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son William Barton "Bart" Jenkins, Jr. (Dana) of Knoxville; 2 sisters, Brenda Dobbins of Forest City and Martha Simpson of Ellenboro. She is also survived by grandsons, Will and Tyler Jenkins.

The funeral service was held July 28, 2021 with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.
