George William "Junior" Jones, Jr, age 62

George William "Junior" Jones, Jr, age 62 of Ellenboro died Thursday, June 22, 2023.

Junior, as he was known to family and friends, was born May 6, 1961, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late George William Jones, Sr. and Syble Walker Jones.

He worked as a Construction Superintendent for many years with Delta T Construction until retirement. Following retirement, he worked for Thompson Exterminating.

Junior was a lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Curtis Jones and wife Michelle of Summerville, SC, his daughter, Kelly Jones Joyce and husband Anthony of Ellenboro, his sister, Debra Jones Brown and husband Donald of Ellenboro, his fiancée, Sheena Lynch and her children which he considered his own, Tiffani Lynch and Ryan Lynch, as well as eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held June 27, at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner and Rev. Ad Hopper officiating.
