Geraldine Byrd McKinnon, 96, passed away September 1, 2021.
Geraldine was born January 11, 1925, in Mount Gilead, NC. She was the youngest of 8 children of the late Thomas Platt Byrd and Bertha Lillie Mauldin. She is predeceased by husband, Robert Hal McKinnon, son in-law Joseph Hutchens and 7 siblings.
She is survived by daughters Patricia McKinnon Hutchens and Becky McKinnon King (Charles); 2 granddaughters, and 2 greatgrandchildreny. She is also survived by 3 step grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, 2 step-great-great grandchildren.
The family will have a private service.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
