Gladys Byars Liverett, 81

Gladys Byars Liverett, 81, of Cliffside, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. 

A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was born on May 11, 1933, a daughter of the late John A. and Allie Mae Campbell Byars. She was retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant and also worked at Roses. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Henry Liverett; one brother, Joseph Byars. She is survived by her sons, David Liverett of Forest City, Ricky Liverett of Forest City, and Roger Liverett and wife Cathy of Cliffside; one daughter, Susan Short and husband John of Shelby; brothers, David Byars and wife Barbara of Cliffside, Don Byars and wife Debbie of Cliffside, Michael Byars and wife Debbie of Shelby; sisters, Mary Causby of Ellenboro, Louise Wilson and husband Perry of Forest City, Ruby Bridges and husband Howard of Sandy Mush, Martha Byars of Cliffside and Sandra Bailey and husband Wayne of Ellenboro; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny McCarty and Rev. Robert Toney officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
