Gracious food partners help those in need

Barry Yelton, a volunteer with BASICS Christian Ministries in Henrietta was seen at Food Lion in Forest City recently loading food donations from the grocery store for the food pantry at BASICS in Henrietta.

Food Lion partners with several food pantries in the county to help provide food for those in need. BASICS is located at 141 North Main Street, Henrietta and provides food, clothing, and spiritual counseling to those in need in Rutherford County. All proceeds from the Thrift Shop go to purchase food. BASICS is a Second Harvest Agency. The thrift store is open Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations are always needed and appreciated.
