GrahamTown Team receives $40,000

The Grahamtown Team is the recipient of. $40,000 grant from the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation from its Mission Development Grant programs.

The check was presented to members of the Grahamtown. SECU Board of Directors from Forest City and Rutherfordton also attended the ceremony. Also attending the check presentation were SECU officers Grant Kennedy and Caitlyn Duke.

This grant will focus on organizational capacity building, achieving growth, program expansion, board and staff development, and succession planning to enhance our ability to provide community programs addressing housing, community beautification and youth outreach programs.

"The Grahamtown Team is thankful for the support of the SECU Foundation and their Forest City board members, along with Regional Director Kim Hollifield," said Grahamtown Team Executive Director.

"We are thankful for the opportunity to build capacity, grow the organization and continue working on the Healthy Homes Community Revitalization project. The funds received are such a tremendous show of support from a local organization and we are tremendously proud to be the recipients," McDowell added.
