Guy Cochran, age 57

Guy Cochran, age 57, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017.

He was a native of Rutherford County and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Spindale United Methodist Church but had recently been attending Gilboa United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one son Joseph Edward Cochran and one brother Dennis Cochran. He is survived by his parents Johnny William Cochran and Virginia Louise Cochran. One Daughter: Jennifer Moore and husband Bobby of Forest City. Two Sons: Brandon Cochran and wife Erin of Forest City,

Tyler Cochran of Rutherfordton. One Step- daughter: Harlie Alley of Rutherfordton. Four Sisters: Phyllis Coffey and husband Zale of Ellenboro, Brenda Hoyle and husband William of Bostic, Elizabeth Boone and husband Robert of Rutherfordton, Jan Hicks of Rutherfordton. One Brother: Johnny Lee Cochran and wife Beth of Rutherfordton. Three Grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jack Bridges officiated. Interment held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gilboa United Methodist Church c/o Francis Yelton at 511 Flynn Rd. Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
