Gwendolyn Ballard Ledford, age 87

Gwendolyn Ballard Ledford, age 87, of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Gwendolyn was born October 25, 1931 in Rutherford County, to the late Henry Ballard and Nettie Martin Ballard. She worked for Burlington Industries for over thirty years before retirement and was a past member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn, Earl, Eugene and David Ballard and a sister, Louise Burleson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Rhonda Gibson and husband, Dwayne of Henrietta; sister, Frances Scarlata of Louisiana; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her pet cat, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Caroleen-Avondale-Henrietta Cemetery.
