Hands of Hope at home in its new facility

The new facility is located at 124 Turner Stree at in Forest City.

Hands of Hope celebrated a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon with volunteers, staff and friends attending the 12:30 p.m. event. After the ribbon cutting, a tour of the new facility at 124 Turner Street in Forest City was conducted for all visitors and a light lunch was provided.

Cleveland Capital Holdings, Inc. donated the building for the pregnancy center, said board member Deborah Potter who attended the grand opening. It is the first facility the group has ever owned.

Paula Rogalski, director, and board members welcomed everyone to the facility and expressed appreciation for all who worked to renovate the vacant building and furnish the building.

Hands of Hope for Life, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, faith-based group and all services are offered free to families, men, women and children.

Staff and administrators meet with individuals or couples in a professional and confidential setting.

Services Offered

• Hands of Hope is a resource center for women and men who are facing pregnancy and are searching for guidance, help and support.

• Staff members meet with individuals who come into the facility in a private setting.

• The center provides free pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds counseling, pregnancy and parenting education, fatherhood support, Bible study prayer, post-abortion Bible study and pregnancy loss Bible study.

• Supplementary resources provided at Hands of Hope include maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers and wipes, bath products, formula and baby food, car seats and furniture items.

• The center is open Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Friday-Sunday; the third Tuesday of the Month the center is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• The center also offers video based educational programs for new moms and dads as they prepare to bring the new baby home.
