Harrill Ward Wells, age 73

Harrill Ward Wells, age 73, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2012. 

Harrill was born on April 22, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Zach Wells and Almeta Ward Wells.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and owned and operated Wells Body Shop in Rutherfordton for many years.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his former wife and lifelong friend, Jan Bennick; two daughters, Angie W. Vinesett and husband, Scott and Tammy W. Carpenter; one brother, Harvey L. Wells and wife, Judy all of Rutherford County.  Among his grandchildren are Dusty Splawn and wife, April, Heather Mode and husband, Stephen; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Emily Splawn, Jordan and Ashlyn Mode all of Rutherford County.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Charles Street officiating.      Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC  28043.
