Harry F. Black, age 87

Harry F. Black, age 87 of Forest City, died September 12, 2021.
Born November 12, 1933, in Buncombe County, North Carolina he was the son of the late Fate Black and Rubye Glance Black.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phillis S. Black, and a son, Kevin F. "Bubba" Black.
Harry proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War and completed a tour of duty in Korea. He was a faithful member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He worked for APC/Robbins Oil as a Diesel Mechanic.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Beverly Black & Greg Mode, daughter-in-law Tami Black of Forest City, brother Doug Black and wife Irene of Brevard, sister, Ivagene Parham and husband Kenneth of Asheville, one granddaughter, 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held September 17, 2021 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Military Honors were provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.
