Over one hundred people were in attendance at the new Henson - HomeWorks Design Center, grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday September 10th.
The new design center has countertops, windows, materials, cabinets and a thousand ideas for consumers and for building contractors to use when making home improvements. This beautiful facility is only the first phase in a new concept by Henson Building Materials that will be more consumer friendly and more design oriented than ever before.
Rick Austin, Executive Director for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon cutting for the new facility. “We are happy to have this wonderful facility and expansion here in Rutherford County. We are also happy to have Henson working with the Chamber to bring Green Building techniques and materials to the county”.
Rodney Smith, manager of the facility said, “ Our next phase will be even more interesting. We intend to build a green home, using totally green techniques and products in our air conditioned warehouse out back. This model home will have cut-away views that the public can come see, so they can understand how building materials can be used to be more energy efficient in their home construction or remodeling.”
