Hoyt Hodge, Sr., age 79, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Hoyt was born February 25, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Ed Hodge, Sr. and Ruth Brooks Hodge.
He worked for PPG Industries for 40 years. Hoyt was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Hodge, Jr. and sister-in-law, Joann Hodge.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Huber Hodge; daughter, Renee Hodge Conner (Dwayne) of Ellenboro; son, Hoyt Hodge, Jr. of Ellenboro; brother, Billy Dean Hodge (Yoshiko) of Newport News, Virginia and sister, Patsy McCraw of Henrietta; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 6pm Thursday, June 15 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mack Tester officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Thursday at the church.
