Hubert Flynn, 82, of Union Mills

Hubert Flynn, 82, of Union Mills died Sept. 8, 2026.

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Loner and Reba Koone Flynn. Hubert was a Honda mechanic and worked for many years at LaPointe Honda in Shelby and Joe Waters Honda in Forest City. Following retirement, he continued to work with Joe Carson Construction. He was active in the Rutherford County Beekeepers Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Flynn.

Hubert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faye Nanney Flynn; son, Terry Flynn and wife Debbie, and their children, Bailey, Kacci and Kalib; son, David Flynn and wife Elisa, and their daughter, Haley; son, Stephen Flynn and wife Allison, and their sons, Nathan and Noah; his sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Ricky Gilbert; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held September 10 at Round Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Jones and Rev. Jimmy Koone officiating.
