Irma Crawford Porter, age 98

Irma Crawford Porter, age 98, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016.

Born August 26, 1918 in Harris, NC, she was a daughter to the late David Thomas Crawford and Martha Bryan McKinney Crawford. She was a graduate of Harris High School and attended Holly Springs Baptist Church. Irma was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting and word search puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Porter; one son, Donald Porter; two sisters, Nell Harmon and Ora Jolley and brother, Joe Crawford.

Survivors include one grandson, one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Porter of Seymour, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.

Inurnment followed in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
