Ittia "Neal" Bennick, age 74

Ittia "Neal" Bennick, age 74 of Rutherfordton went Home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

A native of Rutherford County, Neal was the son of the late Kenneth Bennick and the late Vivian Crain Bennick. Neal was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Rutherfordton. After 31 years of being a truck driver, Neal retired to enjoy home life, farming and driving his tractor. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Bennick and Delmas Bennick.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Edith, three daughters, Ida Buchanan (Joseph), Deborah Bennick, Carrie Morgan (Mark), three sisters, Linda Merquin, Gail Flynn (Leonard), Vinita Hill, one brother, Ted Bennick (Diane), four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church October 2 with Rev. Randy Darly officiating.
