Ivey Dean Simpson, 69, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022.
A native of Burke County, he was the son of Ivey Simpson and the late Earlene Poteet Simpson. Ivey worked as an assembler in manufacturing and was a member of Bible Tabernacle.
In addition to his father, left to cherish his memories are wife, Mary Greene Simpson; son Timothy Simpson; daughter, Sherry Taylor and husband Eric; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sister Evelyn Austin and husband Paul; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held June 12, 2022 at Bible Tabernacle with Rev. Joe Greene officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bible Tabernacle Mission Fund, 207 US Hwy 74A 64, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
