J.C. Wishon, age 80

J.C. Wishon, age 80, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018.

J.C. was born July 4, 1938 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Caleb Wishon and Novella Waters Wishon. He worked for Mastercraft most of his life and was a past member of Sandy Level Baptist Church. J.C. enjoyed auto body repair work and watching NASCAR. His favorite driver was Tony Stewart. He also took great delight in taking care of his pets: D.J., Ella and Toby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Jones; son, Jason Clint Ray Wishon; three brothers, Troy, Henry and Robert Wishon and three sisters, Gladys Jones, Willie Mae Bradley and Lois Lowery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Laura Kay Wishon; two daughters, Cindy Wishon Mode of Spindale and Gail Crawford (Steve) of Forest City; son, Sammy Wishon (Donna Owens) of Forest City; sister, Claudia Mae Tessenier (Nelson) of Caroleen; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Caroleen-Avondale-Henrietta Cemetery.
