J. D. Hill, age 82

J. D. Hill, age 82, of Gilkey passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021.
He was the son of the late Lewis Jay Hill & Hessie Mae Vess Hill and a native of Rutherford County. J D was a U S Army Veteran and he was of the Baptist Faith. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. He was preceded in death by brothers Ray Hill, Wayne Hill and sisters Emma Hicks and Dot Nanney.
He is survived by his daughter Jane Hodnett, and a son David Hill. Three Sisters: Edith Wilkerson, Pauline Flynn, Lorrine Flack. Four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Flynn officiating. Interment was held at Little White Country Church with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
