James Delmas "J D" Dodson, age 83

James Delmas "J D" Dodson, age 83, of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020.

J.D. was born November 25, 1936 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Carlos and Jennie Sisk Dodson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Delmas Dodson, Jr and daughter-in-law, Wilhelmina Hensley Dodson.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rose Mary Morgan Dodson of the home, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Hansel Dodson and wife Betty of Ellenboro, Mike Dodson and wife Rita all of Ellenboro, his daughter-in-law, Nancy Dodson of Ellenboro.

Funeral service was held at Corinth Baptist Church. Interment followed.
