James Donald Hunt, 82

James Donald Hunt, 82 years young, of LaGrange, NC passed away on November 30, 2018.

Born in western NC, Mr. Hunt was a son of the late Coye and Ora Hunt. He graduated from Central High School and served his country for 31 years in the United States Air Force, retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring in Goldsboro, he went on to work with the US Postal Service and Spence's Lawn Mower Repair.

A devoted husband and father, Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ginger; his children, Sandra Hardison, Ron Hunt and his wife Lisa, Sheila Shearon and her husband Mark, and Serena Hunt; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister Colleen Hibbard, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Tom Hall and his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Barbara Hunt.

Graveside services were held at Golden Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard provided military honors. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on December 9, 2018, at Community Baptist Church in LaGrange, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
