James Garland Dalton, age 69

James Garland Dalton, age 69, of Rutherfordton, passed away on home March 19, 2021.

He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Mamie Dalton and Jack Dalton of Lake Lure.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael Todd Foster, two brothers Perry Dalton and Scott Dalton, paternal grandparents JB Davis and Georgia Davis, maternal grandparents Ray and Rachel Dalton.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Jackson Dalton; two daughters and their families, Ashleigh Dalton and Tina Foster Melton; two sisters and their families, Sandra Dalton Hughes and Gail Dalton Boone; four grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family held a Memorial Service at Southern Baptist Church.
