James Henry Hooper, age 86

James Henry Hooper, age 86 died Saturday, June 11, 2022.

James was born August 31, 1935, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Benjamin and Grace Morrow Hooper. He was a Licensed General Contactor and served in the US Air Force.

James was a member of New Beginnings Church and the Pearidge Ruitan Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ben Hooper, Jerry Hooper, and Charles Hooper and sister, Alice Hooper Smith.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Hooper and wife Sonja of Forest City, daughters, Kay Hooper of Forest City and Linda Hooper Parks of Boiling Springs, SC, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A service from the graveside will be held at 11am Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Cogdell officiating. The Rutherford County Honor Guard will accord Military Honors. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
