James Hoyt Hamrick, age 94

James Hoyt Hamrick, age 94, of Caroleen, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023.

James was born June 25, 1929 in Cleveland County to the late Ostace Hamrick and Myrtle Vegrace Hamrick. He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. James worked approximately 30 years for Burlington Industries before retirement. He held the distinction of being the oldest member of Caroleen Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Irene Jones Hamrick; two brothers, four sisters and a niece.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Peggy Randall of Newbury Park, CA and a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

The funeral was held November 30 at Caroleen Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Evans officiating.
