James Lee Davis, age 82

James Lee Davis, age 82 of Forest City, died September 13, 2021.
James was born July 10, 1939, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Worth and Clara Haynes Davis. James worked for many years for the former Haynes-Jones Furniture Store in Forest City and later for Dollar Discount at the Tri-City Mall. James was a member of Crestview Baptist. He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and he served in the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Doris Henson Davis, a daughter, Starlyn D. Hunt and husband Dwayne of Forest City, 2 grandchildren, one great-grandson, sister, Sandra Kay Dobbins of Forest City, brother, Larry Davis and wife Linda of Forest City.
The funeral was held September 17, 2021, at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Rohm officiating. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
