James R. Jolley, age 68

James R. Jolley, age 68, of Green Creek, NC, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020.

He was the son of the late Tim and Marie Jolley and he was a native of Spartanburg County.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by, one brother, John Wayne Jolley, and one brother-in-law, John Dean McDade. James was a lifetime member of the Green Creek Fire and Rescue Department since December 12, 1983. He was currently serving as the Deputy Chief of his department.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Joyce Hines Jolley. Four Sisters: Margaret Yelton and her husband Hoyt, of Rutherfordton, Hazel McDade, of Rutherfordton, Linda Byers and her husband David, of Rutherfordton, Gail Morris and her husband Donald, of Rutherfordton. One Sister-in-law: Francis Jolley. of Mooresville, NC. One Brother: Kenneth Jolley and his wife Joan, of Tryon, NC. And an abundance of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The graveside service was held at Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Firefighter honors were provided by Green Creek Fire and Rescue. Interment held at Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
