James Rodney Tilley Sr, 70, of Forest City, died Thursday, March 23, 2023.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy Burton Tilley. Rodney was retired from the textile industry.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Annie Crandall, Susan Tilley; sons, Michael Tilley, Chris Tilley, Dewayne Tilley, James Tilley Jr. (Amber); twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two nieces; and a brother, Greg Tilley (Rhonda).
Funeral services were held March 26 at Crowe's Mortuary with Rev. Phillip Duncan officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the services.
