Janet Hawkins Hamrick, age 75

Janet Hawkins Hamrick, age 75 of Ellenboro passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

Janet was born on November 1, 1941 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Leonard Hawkins and Frances Cartee Hawkins Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Her son, Don Hamrick and a brother, Darrell Roberts preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald R. Hamrick, a son, Shane Hamrick and wife Chelly of Cherryville, a brother, Reggie Ferland of Georgia, and sister, Linda Emory of Forest City. There is also one grandson, and a great-grandson.

Funeral services were held in the Pilgrim Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Duncan officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
