Janice Pruett Brown, age 75

Janice Pruett Brown, age 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Janice was born Wednesday, July 11, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Carmel Pruett and Mattie Hill Pruett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Doyle S. Brown; son-in-law, Gerald Gettys; three brothers, Billy, Bobby and Charlie Pruett; two sisters, Lois Doggett and Dot Pruett and two infant grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Diane Callahan of Ellenboro and Debbie Gettys of Rutherfordton; son, Steve Brown (Stacey) also of Rutherfordton; an "adopted daughter" Vickie Lynn Moore of Ellenboro; two brothers, Carl Pruett (Lena) of Rutherfordton, Ray Pruett of Forest City and a special niece, Pat Ledbetter of Forest City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Spindale Fellowship Holiness. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
