Jean S. Hardin, age 76

Jean S. Hardin, age 76, of Rutherfordton, passed away December 6, 2021.

Jean was born August 2, 1945 in Woodruff, SC to the late George P. Simmons and Edna Mae Skinner Simmons. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School and a graduate of Cecil's Business College in Spartanburg. Jean was the co-owner and operator of Harco Incorporated in Forest City and a longtime member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of t24 years, Jerry Glenn Hardin and three brothers, William, Thomas, and Marshall Simmons.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life companion of 30 years, David Harmon; daughter, Amy Hardin of Rutherfordton; son, Jeff Hardin (Vanghi) of Monroe, brothers, Jerry Simmons (Ann) of Iron Station, and Bobby Simmons (Martha) of Clover, SC; sister, Marie Adams (Bob) of Morehead, Kentucky, two grandchildren.

The funeral was held December 9, 2021 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Matheny officiating.
