Jerry Ervin Hames, age 62

Jerry Ervin Hames, age 62, husband of Rhonda Broome Hames passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2021.

Jerry was a native of Rutherford County, son of the late Larston Earl "Bud" Hames and the late Joyce Naomi Fortenberry Hames,

Pastor of Restoration Church in Forest City where his ministry was founded on love and grace, Chaplain of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department and served in the 096 Chaplaincy Committee.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, Rhonda, he leaves to cherish his memory daughters Keisha (Marcus) Gibson and Kami (Josh) Hall; six grandchildren; a brother Kenneth (Wanda) Hames, sisters Mary Ann Hames, Virginia (Roger) Dobbins and Robin Hewitt; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of the life of Pastor Jerry Ervin Hames was held at Restoration Church in Forest City. Memorials in honor of Pastor Hames may be made to Restoration Church Building Fund; 133 Gardenbrook Dr. Forest City, NC 28043.
