Jerry Lee Reid, age 78

Jerry Lee Reid, age 78, of Forest City, NC, died November 3, 2021.

He was the son of the late Oscar and Dorothy Brown Reid and a native of Burke County. He was an active member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Baker Reid and siblings Winfred Reid, Haskell Reid, Sandra Jean Reid and Louise H. Holland.

He is survived by his wife Janet S. Reid, son Byron Reid and wife Briana of Rutherfordton, three step-daughters Kay Wray and husband Kevin, Cathy Greene, Aylene Allen and husband Brent all of Rutherfordton, two sisters Geneva Wilson of Valdese and Rita Roberson of Burton Michigan, three brothers Ernest Reid, Larry Reid both of Lenoir, Ronald Reid of Morganton, three grandsons, seven step-grandchildren, 2wo step-great grandchildren.

The funeral was held November 7 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moneyham and Rev. James Henson officiating.
