Jesse Evans, age 71

Jesse Evans, age 71, of Rutherfordton, passed away, Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Jesse was born September 29, 1951 in Wyoming County, WV. He worked in textiles for many years and was a member of Jesus Way Christian Ministries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Matthew Evans II and a nephew, William Dale Evans.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Crystal Wilson (Robert) of Spindale; sons, Phillip Evans (Chanci) of Forest City and Joshua Evans (Cassie) of Cowpens; siblings, Linda Stevens (Jerry), William Evans, Eugene Evans (Dortha), Paul Darnell Evans (Marie), Patricia Darlene Wooten, Elizabeth Pauline Taylor (Terry), Wanda Garvin, Sherry Owens (Keith), Michael Evans; six grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held to honor Jesse's life.
