Jessie Perry, age 85

Jessie Perry, age 85, of Forest City, passed away October 30, 2021.

Jessie was born November 4, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Charles Robert Self and Nannie Melton Self. She was a graduate of Sunshine High School. She worked in the office for Watkins Motor Line and later for Fed Ex Shipping. Jessie was a past member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, A.C. McCombs and son Rex McCombs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Rose McCombs; sisters, Dessie Smith, O'Lema Rice and Esther Bumgarner all of Golden Valley and brother, Clayton Self (Pansy) of Golden Valley, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held November 20, 2021 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.
