JoAnn B. Peeler, age 90

JoAnn B. Peeler, age 90, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026.

JoAnn was born March 27, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late C.D. Baldwin and Carrie Conner Baldwin. She was a graduate of Ellenboro High School, class of 1954. JoAnn worked 27 years as an Instructor at the Rutherford County Workshop. She grew up going to Race Path Baptist Church where she was active in the shut-in ministry, later she became a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Packer and brother, Boyce Baldwin, Sr.

Those left to cherish her legacy include her husband of 43 years, Don Peeler; daughters, Sheila Levy (Kenny) of Hilton Head, Robin Randall (Bob) of Shelby and Debbie Dickson (Brice) of Boiling Springs; son, Roger Randall (Tammy) of Mooresboro; stepchildren, Jerry N. Peeler (Susie) and Angela Denis Author (Chris) all of Gaffney, SC; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 7 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mack Tester and her grandson, Rev. Matt Tiller, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
