Joanne Mingia Patterson Burch, age 91

Joanne Mingia Patterson Burch, age 91, wife of Leroy Burch of 168 Smoky Springs Dr. Rutherfordton passed away July 30.

Joanne was a native of Guilford County, the daughter of the late Joe Wheeler Mingia and Lena Mae Baker Minga. She was a naturopathic doctor and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Leroy Burch, sons Michael Allen Burch and Fred Samuel Patterson; daughters Patricia Carol Taylor and Keith Leigh Dowden; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were August 5, 2021 at the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Relief Society.
