Joe Brooks Wilson, age 84 Lake Lure died January 8, 2022.
Born April 27, 1936, in Gaston County, NC she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Carra White Brooks. She worked as a Supervisor for General Instruments prior to retirement and was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church. Joe was a graduate of Lake Lure High School.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Robert Wilson of the home; son, Robert Wilson and wife Aimee of Sapphire, NC and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 11, 2022 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Daggerhart and Rev. Alex Heafner officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chimney Rock Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 270 Boys Camp Rd., Lake Lure, NC 28746.
