Joe Dean Robertson, age 81 of Columbus, NC, and a former longtime resident of Bostic, died December 28, 2021.
Joe was born in Rutherford County December 23, 1940, and was the son of the late James Baxter Robertson and Maeo Ezell Robertson.
Joe grew up in the Sunshine Community and was a graduate of Sunshine High School. He was a member of the former Sunshine United Methodist Church, now Sunshine Church.
Joe served his country in the US Army and was the Parts Department Manager for McCurry-Deck Motors where he retired with 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Ann Mayes.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Jo McGuinn Robertson of the home, two grandsons, his former wife Wilma Robertson of Bostic, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held December 31, 2021, at Sunshine Church with Rev. Teresa Blanton officiating.
