Joe Kimbrell, age 88

Joe Kimbrell, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Joe was born August 29, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Archie Kimbrell and Lillian Phillips Kimbrell. He worked at the Gilkey Convenience Center for many years and for Eternal Hills Memorial Park for 13 years. JHe was a past member of Alexander United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Joyce Beheler Kimbrell and Linda Clark Kimbrell; brothers, Kenneth and Tommy Kimbrell; sister, Nancy Kimbrell; stepson, Tony Swink and a granddaughter, Amber Swink.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joan Kimbrell; brothers, James Kimbrell of Rutherfordton and Earl Kimbrell of Sandy Mush; stepchildren, Renee Pettit (Freddie) of Duncan, SC, Roger Swink of Forest City, Kelly Greene of PA, Heath Greene (Tina) of Sumter, SC, Randy Swink of Sandy Mush; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held December 19 at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
