John David Griffin, age 86, of Bristow, Virginia

John David Griffin, age 86, of Bristow, Virginia, passed away December 23, 2025.

He was born in Gaston County, NC and worked in Rutherford County for many years, where he owned and operated Griffin Insurance Agency.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy Pacetti Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff A. Griffin and Mary Juanita Patton Griffin; his son, John David Griffin Jr.; and his sister, Sara McEntire.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughters, Teresa Shearsmith, Bonnie Goforth, and Alsion Amar; his stepdaughter, Nancilee Harris; his stepsons, George Schultz, Joe Schultz, and Gerald Schultz; and his brother, Frank Griffin and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held December 30 at Crowe's Funeral Chapel.
