John H Lightsey Jr

John H Lightsey Jr, passed away September 2, 2021.

John enjoyed his independence and loved traveling to spend time with family and friends, golfing, fishing, cooking with and for others.

He was a proud member of the armed services, serving with his brothers and was a true patriot who loved and respected the history of our county, always hopeful we would learn from our past to become a more peaceful nation.

John is proceeded in death by parents; John H Lightsey Sr and Thelma Lightsey-Bamberg, 9 brothers and sisters, their spouses and daughter-in-law, Rachele Lightsey. He is survived by sons, Jared Lightsey (Rachele-deceased); Joshua Lightsey (Camille); a brother, Frank Lightsey; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; many nieces and nephew, cousins and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Frank Lightsey's, home in Sunshine in early October.

It was John's wishes that contributions be directed to Hospice.
