John King

John King's legacy will carry on in the people he loved, taught and inspired. John passed away December 18 at the age of 76.

Though an artist from a young age, John completed his BFA in ceramics at Western Carolina University and this began a lifetime passion in clay work. John shared this passion of artistry for 25 years as pottery instructor at Isothermal Community College and Good Earth Pottery Studio.

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Wells King. He is also survived by his children Grant King and Kiowa Cilone and husband, John; siblings Stuart King, Virginia King Ellis and Beverly Rhodes, as well as four grandchildren.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with close family and friends present.
