John Michael "Mike" Johnson age 68 of Forest City

John Michael "Mike" Johnson age 68 of Forest City died Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Mike was born January 11, 1958, in Sarasota, FL, having resided in Rutherford County for the past several years. He was retired from Thompson Exterminating and was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

He was a loving father, treasured his grandchildren, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Allen Johnson.

Surviving is a son, John Thomas "Tommy" Johnson of Forest City; a daughter, Jolene Johnson of Spindale; a sister, Brenda Hughes of SC; grandchildren, Gunner, Zalayah and step-grandchildren, Dalvin, Salem, and Jalen.

Graveside services were held March 11 in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
