Johnny Henson, age 68

Johnny Henson, age 68, of Mooresboro, passed away November 16, 2021.

Johnny was born June 9, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Whitey Henson and Olema Henson Toney. He was a graduate of Chase High School. He worked as a self-employed auto body technician and recently worked for Wares Auto Body Repair. He was a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church. Johnny had the distinction of working with the Jimmy Means Racing Team in NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Toney and a granddaughter, Dakota Degree.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 18 years, Kim Henson; children, Tracy Rushing (Chris) of Dallas, Travis Henson (Pam) of Ellenboro, Britt Holland (Alicia) of Forest City and Brandon Holland (Natalie) of Bostic; brother, Rick Henson (Becky) of Mooresboro, ten grandchildren.

The family will conduct a celebration of Johnny's life on a later date.
